Bessemer School adopt business service agreement.

BESSEMER — The Bessemer Area School District formally adopted a business service agreement with the Gogebic-Ontonagon Intermediate School District last night. The agreement provides support to recently hired business manager Kassie Huotari as she takes the reins from long standing manager Chris Bergquist, who retired last month. The 12-month contract includes language that allows either party to terminate the relationship for cause.Board member Beth Steiger noted that the agreement will provide additional oversight and separation of duties as recommended yearly during financial audits. The motion passed in a 5-2 vote, with board members Bob Berg and Dave Osier opposing.
