Ashland County Deputy dies in UTV accident.

ASHLAND – An off-duty Ashland County Deputy Sheriff died in an accident on Saturday. The Sheriff’s Office reports Deputy Dylan Alan Wegner crashed his UTV near Cammerer Lake in the town of Jacobs in southern Ashland County. Wegner had been with the department for the last 3 years, Sheriff Mick Brennan tells the Daily Press that Wegner was due to marry fiancé Brianna Hanson on Aug. 8. The couple has a 10-month-old son. Wegner’s funeral is Friday morning.
