GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health reporting 1598 COVID cases in Gogebic County no increase in cases since yesterday. Ontonagon County with 603 cases no change since yesterday. The Wisconsin Department of Health reports 757 cases in Iron County an increase of 1 since yesterday. Health officials also reporting a new COVID related death in Iron County bring the Iron County death count from the virus to 21. This latest death from the virus is the 3rd in the local area in the last week. Health officials in Michigan report 17,008 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 over Saturday to Monday, with 83 new reported deaths. 70.8% of residents 16 and older have received at least one dose of vaccine, with 60.3% of Michigan residents age 5 and older have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports 4,264 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, with 39 new deaths. 58.7% of the total population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of November 23. 55.9% of eligible residents have completed the vaccination series.
