IRONWOOD – Unpredictable weather is cited by Triple-A Michigan as a possible reason for a surprise drop in gas prices over the past week. The statewide average is down to two-dollars-80-cents to start the day, a decline of eleven-cents from last week. Prices are expected to move up soon, as Memorial Day normally marks the peak for the year at the pump. Marquette drivers are paying two-85 per gallon, while Flint’s two-dollars-71-cents is the lowest in the state. Ironwood is paying a state high at 2.94 for a gallon.
