LANSING – Details of the plan by state Senate Republicans to overhaul Michigan’s no-fault auto insurance system are expected to come out next week. Majority Leader Mike Shirkey told reporters at the Capitol things are progressing as he had hoped. Minority Leader Christine Greig told MIRS News that guarantees need to be included in the bill that drivers will see savings, as she says she doesn’t trust the insurance industry to cut rates on their own.
